Help me predict a guy's mind?

here's this guy which i've known for 6 mths..but we r not that close cos he's a friend of my friend..whenever i go see my friend, he's always with my friend. Last friday, me and my friend met up so yea he was with him..we were sitting at the Mcdonald and i was busy with texting to my frined ..when i looked up, he was staring at me..but he looked away..then next time when i caught him staring at me, he slightly smiled at me..he was staring at me the whole time. then this monday, i called my friend but he picked up cos my friend's gone overseas..then he said come and join them at the beach cos they were drinking .i was working near the beach btw..after work, i joined them..he said he's going overseas soon..so i just said let's hang out sometimes..then he asked for my no.. after that,,i got up to go back then he walked with me to the bus stop..then he said called him when i arrived home then i was about to walk away but he reached out his hand and hugged me...it's jut not a friendly hug cos he held me too tight..then we were supposed to meet on friday around 5 p.m , but when he nvr picked up his phone...but he called me around 10 p.m .to go clubbing..then today i called him he just said i was sleeping when u called me then i called you but u r sleeping ...then i asked him to go clubbing tonight..he said not sure cos he needs to pack his stuff but hit him when i'm free..so yea..i called him just now but he saiid he needs to pack his stuff..let's go out when he arrives ..cos i'm going overseas so early in the morning....i really don't know his mind...pls help me out...at first i thought he likes me cos he wanted me to call him ..then again ..he turned me down ..:(
