Mmr - high risk factor in child who has had febrile fits.?
i've had a reminder via a local health service letter that my 10 yr old son hasn't had his mmr vaccine and the information given is that there is a possibility of a measles epidemic in my area. He suffered from febrile fits when he was younger, hence he falls into the 'high risk' category. Do I get him injected now? Is he still in the high risk category? I've searched NHS on-line for answers but can't find any statistics to ease my concerns. I know if I go to my GP the answer would be to give him the MMR. My gut instinct is I would prefer the 3 separate injections.
