Please help me identify this movie...?

It has Chevy Chase as a reporter's boss. The reporter is Geena Davis. It also has Dustin Hoffman. There is a scene with a plane crash on a bridge, Geena Davis gives a talk to other reporters while she slices an onion. This film looked brilliant, but I only saw a few segments. Please help my id this film. Thanks!
