Why can't the government print out millions of dollars and then use it to construct public housing?]?

If the government just starts printing out millions of dollars then the value of the dollar would go down. Basically money would have no value, but they should use the money we do have for public housing and feeding the poor, unfortunately it is not a priority for the government right now. Too many people are believing that everyone in America has money and all of our charity should be given to other countries. Giving to other countries is fine, but we forget very quickly at the poor people and hungry and homeless children in our own country,.
